Day 16
There are no words for the amount of coffee I need today. I’ve been completely exhausted the past few days. Work has been INSANE. The phones ring about every 3 minutes. The weather gets warm for a few days and people freak the fuck out. Hot people are not happy people. Everyone thinks they’re dying because it’s 80 degrees all of a sudden. HELLO! Welcome to Illinois. We get cold ass winters and hot as shit summers. Nothing new here.
I’m also exhausted because Regionals are in full force. Josh is doing private programming for some athletes at other gyms, so he’s constantly on the phone or computer analyzing their workouts, and movements. Him and Michele have also been hitting like 50 workouts a day to prepare so he’s dead by 6pm.
Rachel is prepping everything for the end of the school year, which is a crazy time for all of you teachers out there. Kevin has finals, and finals blow, and consume your life…and make you feel horrible. At least that’s the way I recall finals being like. I was luckily really good at test taking. Augustana probably isn’t a school you should get mostly A’s in all classes by waking up the morning of the final and cramming for. That was my personal choice when it came to studying. Beers the night before always sounded better than studying.
So that leaves me, I have no life outside of working my ass off so I’ve been running the classes at night since all of our coaches are ungodly busy. I love it, and love coaching, but SHIT am I exhausted. I’m not getting my workouts in either which really sucks 😦 My laundry also isn’t getting done…and my house isn’t cleaning itself. WTF.
It’s Thursday. I’m coaching by myself all night. Have shit loads of laundry, house is dirty, and we have guests coming in on Friday…TOMORROW. Fuck. That means I get to coach, coach, coach, workout at 8:45pm, go home and cook dinner around 9:30, then start laundry and cleaning. FUN. I need a fairy godmother right about now. Or a magic genie or something. Is that too much to ask for?
I’m going to see if Starbucks will fill an IV bag up with espresso for me.
