Day 8

Just got done doing the ALS Ice Water Challenge. WOOOOOOH baby do I hate cold water. It’s pretty awesome that a simple viral video challenge can spread so far and reach so many. The ALS just posted that they have raised 15.6 million in donations since the end of July when the first video was posted. Last year, during the same time frame, they raised 1.8 million. That is HUGE. I hope that all of these people participating in the challenge actually go forth and donate, and also educate themselves about ALS / more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. It is a nasty nasty disease.

    L: 2 fried eggs in bacon fat, bacon and spinach
    S: almonds, post WOD shake
    D: steak, avocado, zucchinis
    Gallon water

    Since going back on strict paleo, I’ve lost 4 lbs bloat weight and another 2 lbs on top of that. I’ve been pretty realistic with my expectations about not losing much weight in the challenge so it’s nice to see I’m another 2 lbs lighter. Feeling more optimistic!

    L/D: chicken enchiladas (paleo wraps from Julian’s bakery, tomatillos, poblano/Serrano peppers, chicken and grass fed cheese) – amazing! but took longer than expected to make so only one meal

    L: 2 Grass fed hot dogs, kale salad with cucumbers, broccoli and artichoke dressing
    S: Almonds
    D: Chicken breast with mushrooms and salsa

    WOD: Yes but no challenge WOD…should have done it at the gym because I dropped the ball and forgot to do it…

    I know it’s late.
    No Fast

    L – Chipotle and I stayed clean
    D – Chicken thighs, mushrooms, tomatoes and asparagus
