Day 13

Superbowl Sunday / Super Snowpocalypse Sunday

Let it snow let it snow let it snow. I love it. I know most people don’t, but gosh darn it – it’s so beautiful and so much fun to play in.

So let’s get down to business. What did everyone eat today while being snowed in & for the Superbowl? Hopefully you guys were able to make it through the day clean. If there was to be a challenging day of eating, today was it. Since I usually look forward to all of the bad tasty foods on the Superbowl every year, I took it upon myself to play around in the kitchen and make some savory foods that were not only healthy, but satisfied the urge to eat crap.

Brunch: It’s a snow day. Typically something awesome like waffles or pancakes would happen. Can’t really do that and stay low carb (I’m sure there IS a way, I just couldn’t think of one) so I made some Paleo hollandaise sauce to make our eggs seem a little more special. And it was delicious!

Snow WOD: Did lots of shoveling and lots of trekking through knee-deep snow to get some good pictures today. Nature is beautiful. We kinda dismissed the whole stay off the roads unless it’s an emergency thing and took advantage of the town looking like there was a zombie appocalypse.

Superbowl Snack: Totally dig chips & guac. It would feel weird to watch the game and not have that, right? So how do you eat chips while low carb? Cucumber chips? Bleh. Not tasty and not feeling it today. Kale chips? Delicious, but too fragile to scoop up a wad of guac. Grass fed cheese? YEP. I love cheese. Cut it into small, thin slices, baked in the oven til they got crisped up and seriously tasted like cheese its. So good.

Dinner: Pizza is usually a go-to. So instead of trying to make a crazy low carb dough I stuffed ginormous chicken breasts with all of the pizza basics. Sugar free tomato paste, grass fed cheese, turkey pepperoni. Baked in the oven. Turned out great.

Now today was definitely abnormal in the sense that I usually stick to easier, simple meats and veggies and don’t eat a lot of cheese. Back to normal tomorrow.

Hope you all had a great weekend, and enjoyed the snow. See you all for PM classes tomorrow. Next Challenge WOD will be on the whiteboard.

Log for today due Tuesday 9pm.

Did as good as i could being stuck in the dells an extra night and only able to order from a pizza place.

    Slept about 9 hours
Had a protein shake for breakfast
Then sat at gymnastics meet for 5-6 hours
Then had to feed family in snow storm and they wanted Arbys. So i tried but i had to get a roast beef but i only ate the meat. No bun
Then a couple hours at waterpark up hundreds of stairs then down the slide and swam a few laps in the lazy river.

Then we were hanging out watching the game and only had a pizza place to order from so i did my best but had a slice of sausage pizza, one buffalo wing, and then chowed down on a vegi tray that another family had left over.

    Drank maybe 90oz water
